Stamp a Stack Club

For our June club, we used two of the CTMH Quick Card stamp sets. These stamps are great and only $6.95 each! A1120 Quick Card-Butterfly and A1128 Quick Card-Shell

To create the variegated images on some of the cards, I put a wet paper towel on a plate and dropped three different re-inkers in a triangle on the paper towel.  I waited for them to all blend together and then used that for my ink pad.  It was fun to see how each one was going to turn out.

The papers used to create the cards are Sonoma (which is no longer available) and Florentine.

Magic Club

For our June Magic Club, we use the CTMH My Reflections kit called Florentine.   Here's one of the layouts.

When creating this layout, I did some fussy cutting to get the large element in the bottom corner of the left page and also to have the hearts going across the pages.

Create a Card

 This card was created using the Close To My Heart stamp set,  C1499 Perfect Day.  The papers are also by Close To My Heart.  It's X7153B Florentine.

4 ¼” x 5 ½” top fold card base

4 ¼” x 5 ½” Olive card stock

4” x 5 ¼” Florentine Stripe B&T

¾” x 2 ¾” Florentine B&T blue side

2 ¾” x 4 ¼” Twilight card stock

2 ½” x 3” Bamboo card stock

 

Stamp image and sentiment with Olive ink on Bamboo card stock.

Attach the Florentine Stripe B&T to Olive card stock.

Attach stamped card stock to Twilight card stock.

Attach Florentine Blue B&T to Twilight card stock as shown.  Attach matted image to card front ¾” from right and bottom.  Insert two copper brads

Monday Sketch

Today's sketch comes from the latest CTMH How-to-Book, Magic.  This book will be retiring at the end of the Spring/Summer Idea Book, unless it sells out before then.  Supplies are very limited, so, if this book has been on your "must have" list, better snag it quickly :)

Stamp a Stack

I just love the Perfect Day stamp set from CTMH.  For our February Stamp a Stack club we used it along with the new Florentine papers.

Card Peek

Here's one of the cards I created for club.  I used C1499 Perfect Day for the stamp set.  For the paper, I used paper from X7153B Florentine My Reflections kit.

29 Layouts in 29 Days - Day 23

This was the most wonderful, absolutely amazing vacation!  I don't have enough adjectives to describe it!  In 2008, I earned the Mediterranean cruise from Close To My Heart.  I took an old high school friend with me.  My husband is not the vacationing type, so, I could see us needing to throw him out of the plane or off the ship before we ever got started.  LOL!!  My cruisin' buddy and I had so much fun.  We hope to have the opportunity to do the trip again someday.

This layout was created with the new Close To My Heart My Reflections kit called Florentine. If you click the link to see the papers, the one with the large print reminds me so much of the cisterns on the floors of buildings in the ruins of Pompeii.
