Magic Club

Here's the second two page layout we created in the May Magic Club.

It's a little difficult to imagine the layout without photos or mats, but, there will be a large photo on the light grey and two small photos on the darker grey on the left layout.  On the right page you'll put photos on each of the dark grey spots.

The layout was created using X7154B Cruisin' My Reflections Kit.

Magic Club

This is one of the layouts we created for the May Magic Club. It was created using Close To My Heart's X7154B Cruisin' My Reflections Kit.  I embellished it using Z1691 Bottle Caps.

Create a Card

This week's card is an easel card.  This is the front of the card when it's closed.  For this card we used the stamp set C1483 Born to Ride.

Below is the card with the easel showing.

4 ¼” x 8 ½” Black card stock

4 ¼” x 5 ½” Black card stock

3 ¼” x 4 ¼” Black card stock

4” x 5 ¼” Cruisin’ Argyle B&T

2” x 3 ½” Twilight card stock

1 ¾” x 3 ¼” Grey Wool card stock

3” x 4” Embossed Diamond Plate Grey Wool card stock (this was a Cuttlebug embossing folder)

Stamp motorcycle with black ink on Grey Wool card stock.  Ink edges with black ink.  Attach to Twilight card stock.

Attach Embossed Grey Wool card stock to black card stock.  Wrap Baker’s Twine around and tie in a knot.

Attach Cruisin’ Argyle B&T to 4 ¼” x 5 ½” Black card stock piece.  Attach matted embossed piece ½” from bottom and right side.

Attach matted image 1” from bottom of card front 3/8” from right side

Score 4 ¼” x 8 ½” Black card stock at 4 ¼” and 6 3/8”.  Fold the 4 ¼” score as a peak and the 6 3/8’ as a valley.  Attach two or three strips of adhesive on the 2” end.  Attach this to the back of the card front 1 ¼” from top of card front.  

Stamp the Feel the Wind sentiment on the Grey Wool cut out and attach this to the Twilight cut out.  Attach to easel part of card as shown above.  The cut outs for the sentiment were made with the Close To My Heart Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge.  This stamp set is one of the sets that coordinates with the cartridge and lists the size to cut on the acrylic carrier sheet for the stamps.

Create a Card

This week's card was created using the Close To My Heart stamp set, C1483 Born to Ride.  The argyle background paper is from X7154B Cruisin

4 ¼” x 5 ½” top fold card base

4 ¼” x 5 ½” White card stock

4 ½” x 2” White card stock

2” x 2” White card stock

4 ¾” x 2 ¼” Twilight card stock

2 ¼” x 5 ¼” Cruisin’ Argyle B&T

4” x 5 ¼” Black card stock

Attach Cruisin’ Argyle B&T to Black card stock ½” from left

Stamp motorcycle 3 times in black without re-inking on white card stock.  Attach to Twilight card stock and insert 4 black brads in corners.  Attach to card front ¼” from bottom and right side.

Stamp sentiment diagonally with Twilight on the 2” x 2” White card stock piece.  Cut to create the shape shown and attach to card front.

Stack a Stack Club Cards

These are the cards that the Stamp a Stack club is creating in April.

This month we used the Close To My Heart stamp set C1483 Born to Ride. 
We used some retired papers in addition to papers from the new paper packet called X7154B Cruisin'.  I'm having a lot of fun using this paper pack.  Be sure to check back in May for the layouts I've created using the Cruisin' papers.
